Initials Needlepoint Canvas - 18 mesh for a Box Top - Dollhouse Rug or Pillow Insert
These finished needlepoint
designs are lovely cushion or pillow inserts. We recommend using
raw silk for the cushion - cut on a bias ( seen above ). The silk is an
appropriate match for the delicate nature of this needlepoint and would
be lovely in an infants room - or any similar setting.
When you plan your needlepoint
pillow - you should carefully decide the size of the frame around the needlepoint
- cut a pattern out of tissue paper after adding a half inch to all sides.
We recommend using four separate pieces for the surrounding frame - cut
at an angle. If using raw silk for your finished needlepoint pillow - play with mixing the directions of the bias for a true designers accent.
The zipper should be placed on the back side - nice at a one inch distance
from the pillow edge - also a unique design in itself.
A fine tapestry wool is required
to stitch this needlepoint canvas.
Removing the Initial and stitching
the center solid will produce a 1:12 Doll House Carpet. The finished
needlepoint canvas - is grand for the top of a jewelry box. Mini
Memling is also designed to be a dollhouse
rug.
