Based
on the Memling Collection - Mini Memling is a
magnificent design for pillow inserts - Doll House Rugs - a box
top or to frame.
Inspired
by a tapestry painted in Vase of Flowers c.1485 by Hans Memling this
needlepoint design is unusual in its symmetrical and geometric resemblance
to tiles. As with any good design - other colors combinations may
easily be used. The Memling Collection does not allow for improvisation.
The stitches all depend on exact placement and correction - unlike
many other free form needlepoint.
We
do not recommend this needlepoint exclusive for beginners due to
the strict pattern. We show the finished canvas worked with Samantha
Taylor's Fine Line Wool in the Victorian Cross Stitch. This Needlepoint
Canvas is not available as a kit at this time.
The
Paper Clip in the top photograph - shows the comparative size of
this Needlepoint Design. We used the Victorian Cross Stitch on the 18
mesh needlepoint canvas.
