Samantha Taylor Sotogrande Handpainted Needlepoint Canvas is an original oil painting created while
on holiday in Sotogrande. An exclusive European Country Club Resort -
Sotogrande quietly hides close to Cadiz in Southern Spain. Surrounded
by Andalusia*s white washed towns - this needlepoint exclusive reflects
the simple arches so typical of the region.
While a Lady dressed in
a kimono contemplates the Mediterranean Sea from this Archway - a palm
tree tickles her in a corner to fully suggest the enchantments
of this part of the world. The colors in the water reflect a late afternoon.
The central figure is stationary
and dressed in what resembles a kimono and the palms and water add movement
to the composition. The large flat areas - again - may be interpreted
- as well as the facial features are left to your imagination.
The Cubist Composition will allow many interpretations - play with mixing
different stitches - fibers and - colors.
This Canvas will look very smart as a pillow or framed with a mat.
