Needlepoint Canvas for Mixed Fibers and Dimensional Stitches

Samantha Taylor *Thinking* Needlepoint Canvases are based on an original Oil Painting by the author. Although a contemporary painting - this design reflects the triangulation so important in classical art.

This painting was first created in 1973 when the author lived in a small town in the Basque Country of Northern Spain. The small town - Igueldo - outside of San Sebastian - is a very tiny town situated above the Atlantic Coast extending along the Bay of Biscay west of the Pyrenees and surrounded by rich rolling farmland - peaceful green river valleys planted in grass - grain and fruit trees.

The colors in this painting - reflect the contrasting backdrop of lively fishing ports and mountainous surrounding.
