The various colors of this Needlepoint Sampler are so blended that the colored objects - when viewed from a distance should present a neutralized bloom.

When the two different colors are juxtaposed - they receive a double modification - first their tone ( the lighter color appearing lighter - the dark color appearing darker ). Secondly - as to their hue - each will become tinged with the complimentary color of the other.
