Samantha Taylor Needlepoint - Four Needlepoint Designs joined together to form a Needlepoint Table Cover or Rug. Historical 17th Century Spanish Designs.

The Four Heraldic Borders may be joined to form a table cover ( seen above ) or rug. Each border is a completely different design as the three motifs ( lion - plant and castle ) rotate inside the stationary fret while the four background colors (light navy - olive - dark navy and forest) subtly alternate every four squares.

This avoids redundancy in the finished piece. It is s subtle variation - however a noticeable one which enriches the final effect. The Heraldic Borders are named - Top - Right - Bottom and Left. Take a close look at the lion - for example ( in relation to the surrounding fret ). The four borders are not sold separately.

It is absolutely essential to carefully and consistently count these pieces as they are worked. If one line is missing - the panels of your table cover will not join properly when stitched together - a terrible experience.
